I have observed that Ruth has fallen three times that she acknowledges. All have been in the home, and all on level floors. She has never fallen on the stairs/steps. Thus, I think she should only be allowed to go up and down stairs: she won't fall!
With David in town now, things are looking up. This Thursday is a home assessment and perhaps by July 4 she will be out of Heartland Oakland and back home. Or somewhere suitable.

I visited Ruth around lunchtime today and had a hard time finding her as she and Sylvia had taken off down the hallway! She was in great spirits and I sat with both of them when they returned to their room for lunch.
She spoke about Thursday's evaluation and we also talked about the value of using her walker for stability. She appreciates Heartland and how much they have done for her, but she will never understand where they trained their cooks!
I really enjoyed my time with her, and Sylvia is a real blessing as her roommate.
