The party is ON

Since Mom was able to get in and out of Dave's car, we've decided that holding the party at her church following the Sunday worship service should work out okay. We anticipate the festivities will begin around 11:30 a.m. So, at this writing, the original plan is in effect. We anticipate that she will be attending the church service, which begins at 10:30, with Dave.
A couple things that may be useful to know. While she knows about the party, she does not know the entire guest list and there will be a few pleasant surprises for her. Please help us keep that a surprise.
Also, I've been asked about gifts. She's trying to get rid of stuff, not acquire more. Your presence is your gift. If you feel it wouldn't be a birthday party without bringing a gift, maybe a book would be appropriate (but remember this recommendation is coming from a librarian).

Well, I love the great picture. Thanks for the updates and all. My own mom is going to be 79 on May 31st (cello chords).

Gaylene and I can't be at the party or to go to church with everyone, but will be happy to go in on a group Dust Buster if that is happening. You know, handy for little jobs day and night.

If we could be there, I could help out and do laundry or something useful (doesn't the imagination just jolt at THAT idea). I mean, she did enough of my laundry, even if it was decades ago.

Please count us in as celebrants, and let her know of our love.

I appreciate all the info, and am sorry for all the pain and happy for all the love.

With much fondness and affection, Jim & Gaylene
